- Notes about the DEMO version of TUE:
-
- The demo version of TUE 6.0 is identical in every way to the fully functional
- version with the exception that certain capabilities have been disabled.
-
- TUE has *NOT* been Shareware for quite some time now and is available by mail
- only from the author. This demo version provides Host sysops a much nicer
- Userlog editor than anything else available but does not provide all the
- extras which the full version provides.
-
- When using the demo version you will find the disable functions in menus
- and certain buttons dimmed and not-functional. Otherwise, all else works
- as it should.

- Changes made from TUE version 6.0ß to 6.0
-
- Speeded up the process of loading the Userlog. You won't see the user numbers
- as it's loading now since that was one of the things I changed to squeeze
- another second of speed out of it. Test this version against the last if
- you want to see how much difference there is now.
-
- The loading speed is quite respectable now if you consider that TUE is doing
- some things while it loads which saves you a lot of time while performing
- various operations when you're in the program. I could write it so it would
- load a few seconds quicker but all the other things would then slow down.
-
- If you want to really appreciate what some of those speed savings are then
- run Watson's "Useredit" and have yourself a little editing session. By the
- time you go through the many screens, wait for the scroll list to do it's
- strange refresh, and wait for the screens to put everything in place, you
- will see why TUE takes a few seconds longer to load up.

- Fixes
- --------------
- Fixed a couple of minor glitches which were pointed out by Beta testers.
-
-
- --------------
- Changes...
- --------------
-
- Changed the way the timing factors work when double clicking. This should
- make double clicking work the same now regardless of what machine it runs on.
- In the past I was using a timing method which penalized us Mac Plus users so
- dbl-clicking would work on the Mac II. The Mac II was having difficulty when
- dbl-clicking because the timing factor wasn't geared fast enough for it.
-
- As per a request I added an alert sound to signify when any operation has
- completed. Past versions alerted you audibly only when certain operations
- were done.

- Changes made from TUE version 5.4 to 6.0ß
-
- --------------
- Additions
- --------------
-
- Added global set/clear of restriction flags for all users or by access level.
-
- Added clearing of *all* restriction flags for all users at all levels.
-
- Added clearing of the 'highest message read' for all users. This is a must if
- you renumber your message base.
-
- Added clearing of 'combined message read/scan' flags. This is particulary
- useful if you add a new message section or change access levels and you want
- all your users to be forced to go through the combined setup to pick up the
- changes.
-
- Added delete users based on their access level and days since their last
- call. This was asked for by many people who want to easily delete users
- who call and don't fill out validation surveys. They remain at a low access
- level and don't call back so it's now easy for you to zap them.
-
- Added (this one is easy to overlook) a 'search by user number' function.
- When you have a user's file open in the edit screen you will see a new
- button near the others at the bottom. The text in the button will show you
- the current user number of xxx users. It is simply showing you where you
- are in your userlog by number of users. Previous versions also showed this
- in the same location on the screen, but now it's a button. Clicking that button
- will bring up a dialog in which you can put the number of a user and jump
- straight to that user's file.
- This is useful for jumping around in the log without having to go one at a
- time or going back to the scrolling screen.
-
- -----------------
- Moved Menus
- -----------------
-
- Various menu seclections were moved to provide a bit more continuity among
- the functions.
-
- You will now find the "Defaults" under the "Lists" menu as "Text Defaults"
- It used to be under the "Options" menu which has been renamed to "Add/Delete"
-
- Various delete functions used to be located under the "Flags" menu. Now all
- functions for deleting users are located under the new "Add/Delete" menu.
-
- All functions dealing with setting or clearing flags of any kind are located
- under the "Flags" menu.

- Changes made from TUE version 5.3 to 5.4...
-
-
- Fixed a bug in the SYSTEMX.MSG flag clearing by access level.
-
- Speeded up loading and sorting the userlog and all operations that do
- searches or global changes in the userlog. Most operations were speeded
- up as much as 30% over version 5.3.
-
- Should now be more compatible with the Mac II but I haven't confirmed
- this due to not having one to test it on.
-
- Better memory management --- still not aware of MultiFinder.
-

- ******************************************************************************
- Changes made from TUE version 5.1 to 5.3...
-
- The Userlog Editor (TUE) 5.3 is compatible ONLY with Red Ryder Host 2.0
-
- It will not work with 1.4
-
- Added features...
-
- Now shows the amount of time the user spent on his last call and you may edit
- that time. This would be useful if you wished to subtract some time from
- that call to allow him more time on next call if he logged back on before the
- time limit was restored.
-
- All 24 restriction flags can be modified for a user's settings. The flags
- are laid out in the same pattern as Scott Watson's "UserEdit" program that
- is packaged with Host 2.0.
-
- We will be adding the capability to globally clear or set the restriction
- flags in another version.
-
- Credit where credit is due...
-
- The code for the restrictuon flags was added to TUE by Pete Johnson of
- "Archie" and "Mehitabel" fame. Pete has written some super useful utilities
- for Host and his assistance with this important addition to TUE is greatly
- appreciated. Thanks Pete!
